Your privacy is important to us
At the Quote Line we value your right to privacy. However, in order to run an
efficient and effective service, there is certain information about our users
that we need to collect and use.
What information do we collect and why?
In general, you can browse the the Quote Line website without disclosing any
information about yourself at all. Submitting personal information on our site
is optional.
When you submit an enquiry we ask for information such as your name, email
address, phone number and criteria specific to your enquiry. This information
will only be released to a limited number of companies who are suited to your
kind of project.
If you register your company as a supplier we ask for information such as your
name, phone number, email address, address, company details, brand details and
testimonials. This information may be made available to the public as a listing
in our indexes. Additionally, this information may be made available to a user
to whom you send a reply to an enquiry.
Whenever you provide such personal information, we will treat that information
in accordance with this policy.
How do we use your personal information?
the Quote Line may disclose and use personal information collected about you
within its own organisation for the purpose of internal business administration
and analysis.
We will respect your email privacy. You will not receive unsolicited mail from
the Quote Line and/or from third parties. We may, however, mail you
occasionally with information about the Quote Line or important changes to our
service.
We will not rent, trade or sell your data to others.
We monitor customer traffic patterns and site usage in order to help develop
the design and layout of our websystem.
For these purposes we may send your information internationally, including to
countries outside the European Economic Association. Other countries offer
differing levels of protection for personal information, not all of which will
be as high as the levels of protection offered in the UK.
How do we protect your personal details?
We have strict procedures governing the storage and disclosure of
personal details to prevent unauthorised access and misuse.
In addition, all the enquirer’s personal information is password-protected: only the Quote Line and the suppliers that have been selected by the enquirer have access to an enquirer's personal information.
Access to your personal information
You have the right to request a copy of the personal information the Quote Line
holds about you and to have any inaccuracies corrected. (We charge £10 for
information requests.) Please address any requests to

Use of cookies
the Quote Line collects information about your preferences in relation to
this site by analysing site traffic and for suppliers to login, which includes
the use of cookies. Cookies are pieces of computer code which are stored on
your computer and which allow us to recognise the fact that you have visited
our site previously. Most browsers can be altered to prevent your computer from
accepting cookies, although this may mean that some of the features of this
site will not work properly.
Information on visitors
During the course of any visit to the Quote Line, the pages you see, along with
something called a cookie, are downloaded to your computer. Most, if not all,
websites do this, because cookies allow the website publisher to do useful
things like find out whether the computer (and probably its user) has visited
the site before. This is done on a repeat visit by checking to see, and
finding, the cookie left there on the last visit.
Any information that is supplied by cookies can help us to provide you with a better service and assists us to analyse the profile of our visitors.
To enable cookies for Internet Explorer version 6, do the following:
1. From the menu at the top of your web browser, select 'Tools' and then 'Internet Options'
2. From the screen that appears next, select the 'Security' tab
3. From the next screen that appears, you should select the 'Custom Level' button
4. Locate the Cookies options - about a quarter of the way down the list.
5. Make sure the 'Allow cookies that are stored on your computer' and 'Allow per- session Cookies' buttons are checked
6. Click OK
To enable cookies for Internet Explorer version 5 or earlier, do the following:
1. From the menu at the top of your web browser, select 'Tools' and then 'Internet Options'
2. From the screen that appears next, select the 'Privacy' tab
3. On the Privacy tab, move the slider to 'Medium'.
4.Click OK
To enable cookies for Netscape Navigator, do the following:
1. From the menu at the top of your web browser, select 'Edit' and then choose 'Preferences'.
2. A new screen will appear. Click on the 'Advanced' tab, then look under the 'Cookies' area to make sure you have 'Accept all Cookies' checked
3. Click OK
How to see your cookie code
Just click on a cookie to open it. You'll see a short string of text and
numbers.

By disclosing your personal information to the Quote Line , you
consent to the collection, storage and processing of your personal information
in the manner set out in this Privacy Policy.
